Roll up, roll up....

I have put together a list of riddles for your entertainment.  Close your eyes and imagine you are in front of the genie who will not let you leave until you answer a riddle.

They are a range of easy, medium and hard.  That description of difficulty is scientifically calculated from how easy it would be for me to answer.  As I average 3 to 4 on the WRQ then should not be too tricky for you all 🤣🤣

Reply with your answers, one each to give everyone a chance, though if time is a ticking and no responses feel free to go again.

So onto the main event:

  1. Riddle: What has to be broken before you can use it?
  2. Riddle: I’m tall when I’m young, and I’m short when I’m old. What am I?
  3. Riddle: What question can you never answer yes to?
  4. Riddle: There’s a one-story house in which everything is yellow. Yellow walls, yellow doors, yellow furniture. What color are the stairs?
  5. Riddle: What gets wet while drying?
  6. Riddle: You walk into a room that contains a match, a kerosene lamp, a candle and a fireplace. What would you light first?
  7. Riddle: What has a head and a tail but no body?
  8. Riddle: Mary has four daughters, and each of her daughters has a brother. How many children does Mary have?
  9. Riddle: Which is heavier: a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers?
  10. Riddle: What gets bigger when more is taken away?
  11. Riddle: I’m surrounded by water but I’m not a fish. What am I?

Good riddles, @Spenny - and yes, organizing and checking for even a brief quiz can be quite time-consuming - but worth it when you see the answers coming in 😁

Thank you.

Thank you @Spenny for a great quiz. I hope you`ll come back with another soon.

This was fun, especially the "battle" between @Cleoriff and @pgn [who has brought back TNS from the depths of Off Topic]
