A little early to start this thread, although the new judge to replace Darcey Bussell has been announced
It's Motsi Mabuse (sister of Oti Mabusi)
Motsi Mabuse, elder sister of Strictly Come Dancing star Oti, has been named as Dame Darcey Bussell's replacement on the BBC One show's judging panel.
Originally from South Africa, Motsi is a former South African champion and German Latin champion and a judge on Strictly Come Dancing's German version.
Mabuse, 38, said she was "absolutely overjoyed" to be joining the panel and hoped to "add her own bit of sparkle".

I don't doubt her credentials at all but can't help wondering how this will work as Oti is still appearing on the show?

Highlights:
- Kylie Minogue shouting her medley of hits
- Tess & Claudia's wardrobe assistant is obviously on minimum pay

- Anton may do very well this year with his partner
- Kevin, being the winner last year, has obviously resigned to fact he's going nowhere near the finals with Aneka Rice.
- Sadly, Jamie Laing is out for 8 weeks which means we're likely to lose Oti as well. Looked like a good pairing.
- New judge looks like she'll fit right in.
- By the looks of the group dance, this could be a loooooong series.

When I looked at the group dance I did think Catherine Tyldesly showed promise with the new pro Johannas
No one else caught my eye.
Anton was eternally grateful for his partner, saying he may be in till Christmas...
I have an awful feeling the paralympian table tennis player Will Bayley may be in for the sympathy vote.
Oh well 2 weeks respite until the series starts....

What happened with Jamie then? (I must admit I haven't been following it closely this few weeks) I know he sustained 'an injury' though no idea what.
Let's hope Kelvin is a better dancer than actor. I like Emmerdale but he was a bit wooden.

@Cleoriff apparently something popped at the end of the group dance (recorded on friday) on his foot. The segment at the end showed him with it in a "boot" saying he's 8 weeks out of action. Which must be a first for Strictly having being the first person never to make the first week!
