It's that time of year again folks.

From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.

Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)

Anyway names in the mix so far

Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)

Ashley Roberts  (former Pussycat Doll)

Lee Ryan (from Blue)

Faye Tozer (from Steps)

Les Dennis

Tom Daley

Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.

Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)

Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)

Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)

Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.

Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)

That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...

What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.

Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

On Friday, during This Morning, Philip Schofied said 'On Monday we look forward to having Stacey and Kevin from SCD on the show'.....

Although the BBC don't publish official figures re placings, I belong to a Strictly Site where viewers were asked to vote for their winner after the first two dances.

Of course it's NOT official, as only people who vote on that site would have been included.

However, these were the percentage votes as shown on the site

Stacey and Kevin  53%

Joe and Dianne   31%

Faye and Giovanni 9%

Ashley and Pasha  7%

I told you, the BBC are keeping it in the family. Stacey is one of their own.....add that to the conspiracy

I quite like her though, she has put herself into dangerous situations making her documentaries and she has a great personality. As for dancing....I'll leave that to the experts on here.

Did I mention that I like Faye too.....?

I like Stacey as well @jonsie.

I was watching one of her programmes last night. A documentary about a state prison in the US....She was in there with the inmates and actually challenging the guards and officials about the treatment of women.

I would also say, coming from a non dance background, she was certainly the best from that perspective.

Interesting figures @Cleoriff. So on that site Stacey was top and Ashley was bottom.

I also like Stacey and have enjoyed her documentaries. She was certainly the best dancer of those without any dance experience. But, for me at least, Ashley was the best out of the 4. And certainly better than Joe who came second. But then, for me, all the girls were better than Joe.

Just shows how the public vote, not necessarily rationally. And I appreciate this is one site only. But still Joe came second. My question has to be why, and honestly I'm not expecting an answer.
