It's that time of year again folks.

From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.

Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)

Anyway names in the mix so far

Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)

Ashley Roberts  (former Pussycat Doll)

Lee Ryan (from Blue)

Faye Tozer (from Steps)

Les Dennis

Tom Daley

Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.

Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)

Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)

Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)

Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.

Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)

That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...joy

What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.

Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

What really annoys me with Strictly is the way they never tell you 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Never have done, and I think it's a bit poor. (in my opinion )

Yes, I agree @Cleoriff. I felt something was missing. And she was scored 40. Why?

I think it was due to it being classic Fred Astaire stuff @Glory1?

I gew up watching Fred Astaire @Cleoriff and I agree it was classic Astaire but definitely not as good as Astaire. Certainly not deserving of a 40. The judges are as gormless as the public voting for their favourites rather than the best.

I gave 2 votes to Ashley & 4 votes to Faye

I really enjoyed Ashley's showdance

Both Ashley & Faye are better dancers than Stacey

Yes it would be good to know how the runners up did. Wonder if the BBC tell them privately?

Sheepdog presses conspiracy mode button.....

1) Its an easy way for the BBC to get rid of Kevin now that he's won as by default he will get the duffer celeb next year. See Camilla Dalerup, always close then when she won, she stopped. Also: we will likely say goodbye to Karen Clifton as well (which would be a shame cos I like her).

2) BBC 3 needs more promotion and what better way than to have a BBC face win a BBC contest....

3) o2 had "another" network outage precisely the moment voting opened and targeted Joe Sugg's fanbase

4) MOD14 was in charge of tallying the votes.
