Strictly Come Dancing 2018

It's that time of year again folks.

From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.

Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)

Anyway names in the mix so far

Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)

Ashley Roberts  (former Pussycat Doll)

Lee Ryan (from Blue)

Faye Tozer (from Steps)

Les Dennis

Tom Daley

Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.

Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)

Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)

Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)

Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.

Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)

That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...

What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.

Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

Sorry @Cleoriff just picked up on this. Good Lord not paso music at all. What are they thinking. There's far better music to choose. 

I really wonder what's in their minds when music is chosen for a dance. Do they want the celebrity to fail?

Really love Ashley's showdance music. Joe's is just weird, can't wait to see what he does with that. You've got Faye down twice. One is Stacey's I assume. Anyway, I like both numbers. Used to love dancing to Land of 1000 Dances. Still love that track and have it on my phone.

Of course it's Stacey's showdance. Be interesting to see what she does with that. Land of a 1000 dances is not a slow number by any means..

Well the band may slow it down @Cleoriff because if they play it at the normal speed, Stacey will be flying round the dance floor, literally

Received my SCD 2019 annual today, my mum buys me it each Christmas

Regarding the choice of music in SCD. There is a musical director who chooses the music (obviously not a dancer) & gives it to Dave Arch to arrange ... I would think the professional dancer chooses their showdance music

Looking forward to Ashley's salsa & Faye's Viennese waltz & both of their showdances which I think will decide the vote ... not taking account of anyone's fan base ie Joe ... Kevin will try very hard with his & Stacey's  showdance choreography

Just hope one of the 3 girls lift The Glitterball Trophy

Judges choice first, Showdance, then their favourite dance...

Great opener and it's a 40 for Ashley. Don't think it'll help her though.
