Strictly Come Dancing 2018

It's that time of year again folks.

From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.

Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)

Anyway names in the mix so far

Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)

Ashley Roberts  (former Pussycat Doll)

Lee Ryan (from Blue)

Faye Tozer (from Steps)

Les Dennis

Tom Daley

Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.

Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)

Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)

Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)

Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.

Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)

That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...

What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.

Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

Yes, Lauren is finally gone 

But I can't see Ashley winning unless there is a miracle. The public just don't like her. And as@jonsie commented it is a popularity contest, though it shouldn't be. Voting should be based on dancing, nothing else. But the public like or don't likr you, and if they don't you're bu66ered.

To be honest as long as Joe doesn't win, I will be happy.

Out of the remaining 4 he is the weakest,,,but has millions of his vloggers voting for him

Thats it, off to watch Dynasties. Last in the series and it's Tigers @jonsie and @Anonymous....Favourite big cats of yours I think?

Yes, I'd be surprised if they didn't, and I think it will be Joe not Stacey because Stacey is good. That seems to be the way the public are voting, pity votes for the worst dancer. Ridiculous.

I'd like Faye to win, she's a better technical dancer than Ashley

I just don't take to Stacey

What are the chances Joe's fans will give him the Glitterball Tropy = travesty if this happens

@Cleoriff you're right tigers are my favourite big cat. I managed to watch the first 10 minutes then got upset about the problems a tigress would have raising all her cubs to adulthood

Opening routine of the show: still not getting them.

Little Mix ripping off En Vogue. Contrast and compare, from early 90's:

Dance-off: Ashley danced worse and more mistakes second time but that was never going to be a factor for the judges. 

As predicted by my spreadsheet of doom, worse case scenario for Ashley confirms she's not getting any votes of any magnitude so she won't win next week. Even if her showdance is way above everything else we've seen, the British voting public see's it differently. 

Joe's got the voting fanbase unfortunately and think a few crowd pleasing moments will be used to cover up a number of "issues". Will he win, not sure but Faye is my favourite to win other than Ashley but then we have the dark horse of Stacey's partner Kevin who will be pulling quite a few tricks in the showdance. 

Lets hope the showdances are that and not just a medley of routines.

So, the couples are dancing their favourite dances first.

Then showdances.

Not sure why Joe and Dianne picked the Paso Doble. That was a dance which didn't suit him at all!

(or do the judges pick the dance?...my mind has gone blank) Lol

Interesting choice of music for a salsa. Look forward to what they do with it. The showdance tune, so relevant.

I'm trying to remember Pompeii by Bastille, I'll have a listen in Amazon. I know I like the track but can't remember if it's good Paso music.or not. Not that it'll make much difference.

Faye and Stacey have excellent music for their dances. I'm really looking forward to the Final. But it'll be a miracle if Ashley wins.
