Strictly Come Dancing 2017

It's that time of year again....Some love it and others hate it....

However, BBC have announced the first 'celebrity' to join the line up for Strictly Come Dancing 2017.

It's Mollie King from the girl band The Saturdays (Frankie Bridge from the same group appeared in 2014)

I think BBC exceeded the budget with Celebrity Masterchef....They had 20 'celebs' on that show. They probably thought their flagship show (SCD) would pull in viewers regardless of who they dragged in off the street...

Not quite, I'd be in that mode if all I had was the X-factor to contend with on a saturday/sunday evening. Mind you, we now have a HD TV so Strictly may take on a new life or one that is so nauseating seeing everything in HD that I want to turn it off!

So the pre-launch show starts this Saturday 9th September at 7pm.

We will see the pairings of celebs and professionals. There will also be a tribute to Sir Bruce...

I just hope he gets someone with a chance. It's so obvious every year that he gets the joke contestant...which is a shame. Problem is Anton is a damn good dancer and you rarely get to see his full range of dancing skills when he is paired with the comedy celebrity.

Just to add, Anton isn't my favourite professional at all ...but I do think they should mix it up a bit....

Couldn't agree more. As you say @Cleoriff Anton is a talented dancer but we rarely get to see his full range as his partner is normally so abysmal they're gone after a few weeks.

If memory serves me he did have a partner who managed to last for quite a few weeks but for the life of me I can't remember who she was. I think they got to either the quarter or semi-finals.

Let's hope he's lucky again this year. And no he's not my favourite either 😉

Yes it was Katie Derham in 2015. They came 4th I think....He had Lesley Joseph last year...
