Spotify Family Plan

Anonymous
Not applicable

I know we have a few Spotify users on here so I thought this might be interest some of you!

"Spotify has today announced a new plan for the entire family. If you've been wanting to have a single billing account for the household but keep individual playlists, it's now possible for up to five family members to share a single Spotifysubscription, starting from $14.99 a month.

While each family member will share the same billing account, listening history, recommendations and playlists are stored separately. When it comes to pricing, there are some savings available with $14.99 required for two members, $19.99 for three, $24.99 for four, and finally $29.99 for five. Spotify Premium currently sells for $9.99."

I'll certainly be taking advantage of this! I am currently a Spotify Premium member which my girlfriend utilises with her own playlist undermy username, but if I can get rid of her choice of music from my username then I'll happily pay the £5 extra LOL

It will be launching globally over the upcoming weeks, so hopefully won't be long until we see it in the UK!

Good idea but a shame we have to pay the same £s as they do in $s 😞
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I read this on the BBC this morning and thought it was a great idea. It's ideal for my son as four of them use Spotify daily.

Great news! I guess that they are learning from Netflix...although in Netflix you pay the same for 2 that for 5...

The more I hear and read about this app / service he more it interests me.

Are their any downsides to the service apart from premiums ?

I haven't found any to be honest!

Sign up for a free membership and see if you would make use of the services that you have to pay for. Not having to listen to Ads every frew tracks is worth it in itself, never mind the countless songs you have access to for what is a very small monthly outlay.

Thank you so much PapaDug.

I'll do some more digging into this when I get home.

I have been guilty previously of not bothering due to the cost but I think I now know I was wrong to dismiss the service solely on that grounds.
