Hello guys!
I hope you are having a good week so far. Cheer up! We're almost there.
I thought it could be a good idea to create a thread about the sayings you guys know. Probably some of them are very popular but I'm sure there are a lot I/we have never heard.
What phrases/sayings/proverbs represent your life?
Which ones do you usually say?
I'll go first: 'The grass is always greener on the other side'
Meaning: You always think that what's happening to others is better than yours.

What a wonderful topic...and as I have NO sayings of my own other than 'Get A Life'...
I will just use it to post some pictures of quotes...by someone I am a tad obsessed by...
And for good measure....just to show him again....

That's why we love kids so much...better to spend a day with a one year old kid than a night with a drunk friend, same feeling and no hangover!
Personally @Anonymous I would much prefer to spend a night with Johnny Depp...whether he was drunk ....or sober

Well me too... I guess that would only happen if he is drunk...

Not a saying, but a quote that should annoy pretty much every fandom:

nope, didn't annoy me
lovely pic of 'John luc Picard' ..... just can't think of the actor's name atm ..... he may even be a Yorkshireman, living up the Dales, as I think I read somewhere he was rather buzzed off about low flying military aircraft probably from US Menwith Hill, but don't think they have a runway ..... = ..... just big golf balls like on Fylingdales Moor over the way to Bridlington
like Starwars & Harry Potter ..... = ..... re: HP just got bored with ITV's screening them in boring order ..... & by time of 'last ones' came around I'd got fed up ..... but ..... read all the books avidly (btw the best one is the last :smileywink:)
10/10 for that PapaDug ..... virtual kudos to you

re: my post above
just notice the reference to the Hobbit & the Lord of the Rings ..... read the Hobbit when in 1st form at grammar school, read LOTR more than once
watched the 3 LOTR loadsa times & could again
not really interested in what they've done to the Hobbit on screen = a small book really, but I would like to see Smaug the dragon ..... so I'll put it onto my to do list I suppose
