Oscar-nominated British actor Albert Finney has died aged 82 after a short illness.

Sorry to hear this.

I loved Saturday Night Sunday Morning (and many of his other iconic films)

I never understood why he wasn't knighted?

R.I.P. Albert.

Edited to add. I have just heard on TV he turned down a knighthood. Never a fan of the establishment apparently...:smileywink:

He was an amazing actor. So sorry to hear he's died, though as @jonsie says after a short illness. So he didn't suffer for long, a blessing.
