Question re: mobiles / cars

My son calls me when travelling in his car putting his mobile on speakerphone

At his old job in Wetherby North Yorkshire it was always difficult to distinguish what he was saying to me

In his recent new job near East Midlands Airport his voice is very clear

My son does have a soft voice

I'm very curious as to why this is

He calls me when he is travelling home from work to Leeds ... on the M1 ?

Definitely better coverage @Anonymous

The M1 is extremely well covered by all the networks because consumers and more importantly to them Business customers traverse the route regularly and they are likely to lose business to a competitor if business customers cannot make or receive calls, send/receive texts or use data while travelling along it.
