I don`t think your creative spark ever went away. Today`s poem certainly shows it is still there.
I`m so pleased that things are settling down at work for you and sincerely hope that the manager`s job will be yours permanently by October.
I could not offer you much advice previously but I`m pleased that @Cleoriff has helped you.
I wish you well and look forward to your future poems on this lovely thread.

The last poem is beautiful @Pennywren and shows more belief in yourself. Delighted to hear you have got the managers job. As I said, if others believe in you then you must believe in yourself.
Much love and luck.

The clouds,
Slate grey and motionles,
Tower to lofty heights.
Raindrops fall,
As transparent jewels.
A break in the clouds,
Yields the sun,
A brilliant yellow glow.
Each raindrop sparkles ,
On their decent to the ground.
An arc appears in all its glory,
The rainbow stretching for miles.
Each colour vibrant,
A brilliant flash of colour.
Make a wish,
Your dreams carried to the stars.
A rainbow,
A sign of hope:
The storm is ending,
You have rode out the worst.
There is only calm now.

The Wrecking Ball
A Community
In harmony
Smashed by the Wrecking Ball.
Without warning,
On Thursday morning,
Came the Wrecking Ball.
Looking around
Soon found
Much tossed in the bin
As the work begins
By the Wrecking Ball.
By the first night
More issue came to light,
More confusion;
No solutions
To the work of the Wrecking Ball.
Problems don`t to be investigated
For the Community to be re-instated
The solution is plain to see
By you, they, and me
Simply get rid of the Wrecking Ball.

Couldn't agree more @Mi-Amigo. Once a nice place to be with easy ways of answering posts. Now everything is out of sync, UNREAD posts are showing a list of posts we have made repeated over and over again. To find something to answer we have to scroll and scroll! Links to guides aren't working as they should. Having worked on here all over the weekend I'll quote @jonsie's signature...Khoros=Chaos.

Memories
Memories are a fickle thing
They ebb and flow like the tides.
You can't grasp them,
No matter how hard you try.
They trickle through your fingers
Like grains of flowing sand.
Each one precious,
Like a jewel.
Treasure each one,
Before they are gone.
Before they are lost
To the mists of time.

Lovely poem @Pennywren. Memories are even more fickle as you get older

So happy
Even grey skies
Can't shake this happiness:
There is sunshine in my heart
And a joy in my life.
I have grown and changed.
This rollercoaster is coming to an end
And it will end on a high:
Success, happiness, love.
Things I never dreamed of:
These things are mine.
It's been 5 months
But its been one heck of a ride
And the only way is up.
The past won't shackle me
Or hold me back.
I no longer fear change.
I'm starting to find who I really am.....
And I love it.

One day at a time
One step at a time.
I'm slowly moving forward
To reach my goals
My dreams, my desires.
I want to share my happiness with you
I want to share my joy.
I know things get tough
I know there is confusion out there.
But I have wonderful people supporting me
And some wonderful friends right here.
It's amazing to be part of something,
Something so wonderful like this.
It's like a family here,
A place to unwind,
Catch up.
See the beauty in life
That others capture so wonderfully.
I may have missed that beauty
If it wasn't for this community.
A place to share,
To learn,
To grow.
To experience lifes joys and sorrows
Together we are stronger,
Together we are one.
