Hi guys,
So today National Geographic magazine is celebrated. It was first published in 1888 by the national Geographic Society. The magazines have been published each month ever since then, and now they also have TV channels and programmes.
Do any of you subscribe to NG? If not, do you subscribe to any other magazines? (and yes, the Star Trek comic does count if that's your answer here).
I've been receiving it for about a year now. I enjoy reading about cultures I'm not too aware of, and especially to look at the beautiful nature photography! Here are just a few of my favourites (click to see bigger):
All of these photos are from the National Geographic 'Photo of the Day' page here.
@Cleoriff and other big cat lovers, here's an article I found on the website that you might like :). "Out of the shadows: the wildcats you've never seen"

I remember the magazine from my formative years before page 3 and top shelf magazines. People of my generation will know exactly what I mean

Do I even want to know?
I forgot to add above, that I've had to temporarily pause my NG subscription, as I couldn't help myself and subscribed to the Star Trek comics that will arrive twice a month.

Slightly off topic but still centred round wildlife and environment.
Just wondered if anyone has been watching Spy in the Wild on BBC1...narrated by David Tennant?
An absolutely brilliant programme.
The team have made 34 animatronic animals fitted with cameras. It enables us to see life in the wild from a different perspective.
This article shows some of the animals. ALL of them have been accepted by the real ones.

I watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Will be playing catch up after the Chinese New Year celebrations and the Temple blessings. Looking forward to the three day festivities my wife and her family.
