Hi guys,
So today National Geographic magazine is celebrated. It was first published in 1888 by the national Geographic Society. The magazines have been published each month ever since then, and now they also have TV channels and programmes.
Do any of you subscribe to NG? If not, do you subscribe to any other magazines? (and yes, the Star Trek comic does count if that's your answer here).
I've been receiving it for about a year now. I enjoy reading about cultures I'm not too aware of, and especially to look at the beautiful nature photography! Here are just a few of my favourites (click to see bigger):
All of these photos are from the National Geographic 'Photo of the Day' page here.
@Cleoriff and other big cat lovers, here's an article I found on the website that you might like :). "Out of the shadows: the wildcats you've never seen"

Also, I didn't know of the jaguarundis either until I read the article!
No cats at all @Marjo (yet) It's only shown 3 episodes so far and two more to go. They are exploring aspects of love, intelligence, friendships and mischief. I can't recommend it enough. It really is quite superb viewing..

However.... talking about Big cats. Thursday BBC2 9pm. A Natural World programme
'Cheetahs: Growing Up Fast'. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough...No prizes for guessing who will be watching that.
