The reality is that there is no way to stop these attacks. If a suicide bomber is intent on their misguided mission, that's what will happen. The only way to prevent these attacks at airports is to have vehicle checks before cars arrive at the terminal. This would cause massive delays, and although people might initially be in favor of it, they would soon begin to complain. It's a pessimistic outlook, but that's the way it is.
