Topic.
Well OK it wasn't the £80 Million, but according to my checks on the Lottery website it's worth 5 and half quid!
Won £18 week before last on Friday night Euromillions as well.
Hopefully it's an omen that we'll win at least a tenner tonight, we got 4 numbers last week and won £69!
Anyone else had any Lottery luck lately?

@Anonymous wrote:Not directly although I have been with the local branch of Remploy trying to get a job, only thing with them is, their company policy when applying for jobs is for the client not to declare their disability, eh? To me this is dishonest and proves what I've been saying for years, employers automatically bin applications from the disabled cos they think we aren't "normal" (define "normal"!).
Also, the Remploy factory in Sheffield closed 2 years ago in a range of cuts by the company, besides which, I would've refused to work there on principle, I've done that kind of work, it's hard work, a long day, and because the clients are all on benefits, the "pay" doesn't even meet minimum wage.
Richard thousands of us do hard work jobs, which is indeed a long day, and the pay is not that brilliant.
I know people who do work and their wages are topped up by DLA or Tax Credits.
I dont have the range of 'disabilities' as you but I do have health issues and still manage to work 30 hours per week with tax credit top ups.
As you know jobs are hard to come by so your quote wont help you.
"besides which, I would've refused to work there on principle"
Pride becomes before a fall !
Anyway sorry for going off topic and lets hope everyone wins on the Euromillions this Friday !

The big jackpot Tuesday night was won apparently, a Belgian and an Irishman share £157 Million.
£12 Million in the pot tomorrow, I'll pop across to Tesco when I get back from work for my ticket.
As regards the working situation, it's not that I am averse to hard work, I just want to work an 8 hour day, and earn at least National mnimum wage for doing so, but under the current rules, unless I come off benefits, which for reasons too personal to post, is not an option, I can only work a 16 hour week and come away with £80 a week, so I'd bascially be on a fiver an hour, and last time I checked, NMW is about £7 68 an hour.

Not my fault, or problem.
It may not be your fault but it is your problem, put yourself out there and if Lou037 can get a job then there is hope for anyone. Don't settle for sitting on your backside and taking what the goverment throw at you, you are young with your life ahead of you. There are some good training schemes and I'm surprised the job centre hasn't pushed you forward on to one of these.
The medical checks that the disability services insist on these days say that if you can move your arms, walk 50 yards and can stand or sit for a certain period of time, aren't incontinent and can breathe unaided you are placed in a work group. Believe me, I've been there!

Due to back problems I can only walk about 30 yards if that, and that's on a good day.
used to be able to walk further, for instance about 11 years ago I walked the whole of the Golden Mile in Blackpool without stopping for back pain.
Anyway back on topic, I'm just about to pop across to Tesco for tonight's Lottery ticket.

This threads not been on topic since message 12 !
People either want to work or they dont, simple.

How is that my fault? Someone else took it off topic by starting about me not working, yet my polite request not to go there was ignored, once again, not my fault.
For the record, I would love to work part time, but the system, and the fact that current anti-discrimination laws are about as much use as a chocolate teapot IMO, won't allow me to do so.
