How do I save a post so that I can find it easily rather than browsing through pages of threads to look for it?

One way to do this is to click on the message number that you can see in the panel beside a posting:
When you click on the number, the "address" of the message should appear in your Browser something like this:-
You could then copy the link and paste it into say Notepad or similar for future use.
Alternatively you could use the Bookmark feature that you will find under OPTIONS at top right of a message.
Hope this helps until the experts tell you how you should really do it.

I don't necessarily want the whole thread, just one of the posts in the thread. But if the whole thread is the only option then i'll have to do that.

Thanks for your suggestion @Anonymous but i'd rather not bookmark it to my computer as I don't always use this computer.
