The wonderful David Attenborough is 90 today.

This brilliant man has enriched so many lives with his natural history programmes. I have tried to watch them all. A new one Planet Earth 2 will be shown this year ...

His attitude to life is so refreshing.....He says...."You never tire of the natural world. Putting your feet up is all very well....but it’s very boring, isn’t it?”

Happy Birthday Sir David...long may you continue to educate and entertain

Not to take anything away from Her Majesty but I see a tribute to her 90th birthday next Sunday. I don't want to upset the Royalists amongst us but not one I will be watching. I just wish the family had given me one iota of the pleasure I've had following this remarkable man's career. I agree also that his brother Richard was uniquely talented in a totally different way. Gone far too soon.

There is an app coming which will provide access to over 1000 clips of his work for the BBC. It's still in development but I'll be grabbing this once it's available!
