[Game] Word Hunt Diamond - Game 8

Hi Word Hunters and welcome to the eighth Word Hunt Diamond.

The game is open to all members.

Each week, a grid of nine letters in a diamond will be posted with a target number of words to find using only the letters in the grid.

This week`s "diamond" is as follows:

                                                                          E

This week`s target is 69 words using only the letters in the diamond.

Each word must contain four letters or more and must include the red letter I.

No proper names are allowed.

Each letter in the grid can only be used once in each word [for example, TRILL wouldn`t be allowed].

Of course, words do not have to start with the red letter I

Only one word per post.

Please wait until someone else has posted before posting again.

There is one nine-letter word using all the letters in the grid. 

Regular updates will be given on each page [so as to avoid scrolling back] of the words found and the number of words still to be found.

Last week, the players, between them, found all 82 words in the list in the source used for the game; and, in addition, some of them, between them, also found extra words not in the list.

This week`s Word Hunt Diamond has a target of 69 words, including some of which are obscure, and one nine-letter word. Can you, the members, crack this week`s Word Hunt Diamond; and also find additional words which are not in the list?

And as we vie to draw this to a close, I have "VIER". 

I ignored it up to now, thinking it was German for 4.

LIEF is correct and in the list...

It was the last word in the list.

VIER is not in the list but is in Merriam Webster dictionary so would be allowed as word not in list...

Morning all,

As @Cleoriff said this Word Hunt Diamond was a brain teaser.

For the next one, I can offer either one with a 65 word target - with the same number of five-letter and four-letter words; or one with a 62 word target - which is much tougher, with some very obscure words.

It`s over to you - the regular players - and I`ll go along with the majority decision.

The game will be posted and start on Tuesday morning next week.
