Headline : Boxing Day sales: Shoppers flock to stores.
Excerpt from the Link "Shoppers across the UK have been descending on their High Streets for the annual Boxing Day sales.
Some had queued from the early hours in the hope of securing bargains."
My thoughts :
Im not one for standing inline outside Retail shops in the early hours , but I do look online in various places for some deals. ๐
Did you wait in the early hours for a shop to open or visited your HighStreet to get a deal ,or instead go online from the comfort of your home ?

I really need a shopping trip as I've lost 2st since I was ill in May but I just can't face it. I want to lose a bit more so don't want to spend too much at the moment. Luckily I've got pre weight gain clothes so I'm recycling what I can but other than that the Next Directory is my friend! I will need some new bits and pieces for Florida though as I seem to be lacking summer clothes. Sadly it's the wrong time of year!

pleased to hear from you @Anonymous & such good news about your forthcoming holiday in Florida
as for shopping I go online, like you @Cleoriff = it's so much easier from the comfort of your own home, & I honestly think I spend less money

I really don't get why Next has a massive queue every year. All they do is bring in the stuff they've never sold and stick a sale sticker on it. And when it doesn't sell, it goes off to their outlet stores for the same prices for the rest of the year. Not much in the other shops with sales bargains either but thankfully the internet rules.
Though I did all my buying weeks ago around the Black friday weekend taking advantage of any deals Like I am at the moment

The January sales are certainly not the big events they once were when people were given money for Christmas knowing they could get much reduced prices in January.

Having said that @jonsie I have never known as many sales as we have had this year...the ones mentioned Black Friday, Cyber Monday....and the Saturday and Sunday in between. There were sales before Christmas...and now Boxing Day...I have no doubt the January sales will be on us soon...
I don't mind. Now they are all online I can, if so desired, shop from 12mn on the day of the sales... in the comfort and warmth of my own lounge

I ventured out today and didn't manage to buy any clothes. I tried on a coat in my usual size and it was about 6" from being able to do it up and I wasn't going to buy something 2 sizes bigger! All I managed to get was some Soap and Glory bits and pieces and a new bead for my Pandora bangle. By then it was getting busy so I headed for home.
