Fun : Boxing Day sales: Shoppers flock to stores.

Headline : Boxing Day sales: Shoppers flock to stores.

Excerpt from the Link "Shoppers across the UK have been descending on their High Streets for the annual Boxing Day sales.

Some had queued from the early hours in the hope of securing bargains."

My thoughts :

Im not one for standing inline outside Retail shops in the early hours , but I do look online in various places for some deals. 😄

Did you wait in the early hours for a shop to open or visited your HighStreet to get a deal ,or instead go online from the comfort of your home ?

Oh...I stayed in (it is SO cold here)...and had Asda deliver my shopping to my door. Ridiculous really...With being out at my sons both days my own fridge was bare...:smileywink:

Good idea Internet food shopping and I think I may drop hints that we have Christmas Dinner at theirs instead of them all coming to mine - or is that too mean to drop hints on. 😉

Internet shopping...a great way to get rid of the nearly sell-by dates! Don't you miss the thrill of demolishing the display to get the goods at the back or lifting the trays to get the fresh stuff?

I bought milk today and rearranged the shelf for them....

What a load of rubbish @jonsie  Sorry but it is....:smileytongue:

I have only once had something on its sell by date...rang Asda (in rottweiler mode) They refunded my money and delivery cost....and sent replacement goods on the drivers next run....

I have been shopping online for groceries since the service began..Asda and Sainsburys...Only that one problem in all those years...

I'm humbled by your experience.  We only tried it once with Asda around 4 years ago and promptly took everything back, got a refund and a £10 voucher. Not a good experience and we vowed never to experience it again.

Humbled by my experience?? Good grief this is ME you are talking to... you berk! LOL

I am only telling you what I found...perhaps Coventry and Nuneaton Asda are superior to yours....

(or maybe I have a RED FLAG against my name...saying "Do NOT mess this order up") LOL

I haven't had many good experiences with online grocery shopping unfortunately. We used to order from Tesco and the food was always near the use by date, meat was fatty and the substitutions were rubbish. I gave up when the snotty delivery driver told me it was against health and safety rules for him to take the shopping up to my first floor flat!

Sainsburys were no better, they could never find us as our address wasn't on the sat nav. Every time we had a delivery my husband used to have to direct them to us.

We've since moved so one day I might try again!
