Only managed to see this now so a bit too late for me. I think I might have seen a Costa machine inside a petrol station near my house once.

How fortunate for Costa/Coca-Cola (who bought them from Whitbread).

Cockup or conspiracy? I guess we'll never know.

I do find it amusing how people get so upset about not being able to get free stuff, as if they really think the company is being generous.

Then there's the occasions where an ATM has been filled incorrectly and news spreads you can get a twenty for the price of a ten and then they find out a few days later that their bank has actually debited the amount they received.
