So the new season will start in March and Australia was planned as usual to be the opening track. Now it looks set to be cancelled. (March 21st)

I have heard via someone who lives in Australia that although Covid related, nothing to do with that per se. More due to the fact, they are not prepared to run it without spectators. It's a street circuit and they make millions from the fans and ticket prices.

I'm inclined to agree with that. The Covid Bubble teams have put in place seemed to work well, 3 drivers out of 20 catching a mild dose and 3 team staff...

It means that the Bahrain Grand Prix scheduled for 28 March now looks poised to become the 2021 season opener.

People think so @pgn but I'm not 'counting any chickens'. The race director has virtually pointed out Max better not touch Lewis and Lewis better not touch Max, as the stewards have the power to deduct points from either of the title protagonists if they suspect foul play.

We re just about to start Qualifying. Whoever is on pole has the race advantage.

Regarding the race, both Lewis and Max have team mates. Bottas could take Max out and Perez could take Lewis out. They may be penalised but it would give the race win to their team mate.

In all my time watching F1, I don't think I've ever found myself so stressed. (Probably because Lewis has won the title well before the last race.😂

Ben is coming for Qualifying today but we have decided we might be better not getting together for the race 😂

As for that picture with the net thing, let me explain. Lewis paid for a table at the New York Met Ball for 8 black designers who were underprivileged. As he has no problems wearing clothes of any type,he wore one of their outfits. The net is part of the shirt he is wearing. It gained a lot of attention and they guy who designed it has now been snapped up by a leading fashion house. Job done. Good for Lewis.

However they have reconfigured the track since the last race so there is more opportunity for overtaking. Also soft tyres degrade more quickly than mediums. It's all to play for. Valium time. 😂
