Although the season has yet to begin and we won't see the cars till next month when testing begins, I will start this thread off by wishing Lewis Hamilton a Happy 35th Birthday
This may be the year he wins his 7th WDC equalling Michael Schumacher. Who knows? He will certainly have Ferrari and the Red Bulls chasing him. Also with some luck and more power in the Honda engine, I am expecting McLaren to be in the mix as well....

No it doesn't. Not sure what Toro Rosso was thinking. During the commentary you can just imagine Crofty yelling, 'well the Alfa has crashed, I mean the Alfa Romeo, not the Alpha Tauri'

Just moving this over here @jonsie (noticed they had been posted on last years thread!)
@jonsiesaid.....
If only all well paid sports people and show buisness personalities were this generous and cared as much about our planet.
Well done Lewis Hamilton!

@Cleoriffreplied
Danny Ricciardo has done the same and is putting his race suit up for auction @jonsie
I have read that Max has donated as well. All 3 have posted on social media encouraging people to donate
The three charities they are donating to are WIRES Wildlife Rescue, WWF Australia and the Rural Fire Service.

That's for you I'm afraid.
Qualifying and race day is the only real enjoyment I get out of F1.

I know testing isn't exciting as such but it does allow a first look at the cars for the new season.

The social media team at Mercedes F1 do have a sense of humour. They posted this today

By the way this is a good app/link which converts start times for F1 into UK time
A bit grim that the first race of the season (Australia) has qualifying at 06.00 am and race start at 05.10am
