Only us oldies will remember this guy but I grew up listening to his music as my extended teenage family members played both 78s and 45s on the gramophone which took pride of place in the home.

To be honest I thought he had died years ago but a sad loss nevertheless.

BBC News: Rock and roll legend Fats Domino dies
I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it:

So sad to hear. He nearly died following Katrina. I believe he was rescued sitting on the roof of his nearly submerged home.

Loved his music and had all his records. I have Blueberry Hill, my fave, on my phone.

RIP Fats.
