So breaking news before the start of the 2024 season:

Lewis Hamilton appears to be making a move to Ferrari for the 2025 season

A major shock as he signed a two year contract with Mercedes last season. So whether it was one year with an opt out clause for 2025 is anyone's guess.

This seems to be anything but a silly season rumour!

NB As Charles Leclerc has just signed a contract extension with Ferrari, it looks as if Lewis would be replacing Carlos Sainz.

It won't be a popular move. Also, not sure how Mercedes will handle that news THIS year as Lewis is driving for them until the end of 2024.

Will they put all their eggs in George Russells basket? (Hamilton came 3rd in the drivers championship last year and Russell came 8th)

PRACTICE 2

More changeable  weather for this session. Verstappen's car developed a fire whilst on track. Thought to be brake related.

Both Aston Martin cars did well in this session.

First dry practice session. Stunning lap by Lewis. Let's hope it can be transferred to Qualifying!!

Breaking News for the driver market... Ollie Bearman (reserve driver for Ferrari) has got a seat at Haas for 2025. He did a great drive for Ferrari when Sainz was sick earlier in the season.

CANADA RACE

A wild, wet, windy then sunny race.

The lead changed a few times. 3 safety cars, 5 non finishers,  a few crashes.

Lewis was on for 3rd until Russell overtook him one lap before the end.

It's looking good for Mercedes again. So far!

A very bad tempered session. Hamilton was dawdling on track and got in the way of Stroll who was attempting a 'hot' lap. Leclerc did the same with Norris and it appeared to be a session full of Road Rage. !!

All four have to see the stewards, so no idea of any penalty!

Qualifying Spain.

At last Lewis has beaten his team mate in Qualifying!!

A good race. George shot into the lead at lights out but Max soon overtook him.

Lando gutted that he lost out to Max. Lewis changed to softs, a risky move 20 laps from the end but they lasted and he got 3rd. His first podium for months.

Next week Austria!
