On this date, 121 years ago, Wilbur and Orville Wright succeeded in flying the first free, controlled flight of a power-driven, heavier-than-air plane. Wilbur flew their plane for 59 seconds, over a distance of 852 feet, an extraordinary achievement.

We've come a long way with flight in such a relatively short time.

We've come a long way with a lots of things @Bambino in the last 121 years ; technology, education, medicine and health and the motor car all come to mind. 

 

There are so many things that we take for granted that we not part of our grandparents' lives as children. 👍
