Topic.
They have been contacting me all week about an "order" of furniture. I rang them up this morning to see what's going on after I googled their website and phone number, and they asked me if I was Mr Blair! I said no I'm Mr Allen, and as far as I know I haven't ordered any furniture, they said they would remove my number from their database as they'd clearly messed up... Then half an hour ago I recieve a text from DFS in flippin' Belfast, Northern Ireland about an "order" of furniture, eh? I can forgive maybe one mess up but to send a text from a Store overseas is beyond pointlessly daft IMO.
Thing is though, some time possibly in the next 12 months, I may have to move out of my current abode, so I will possibly end up having to go to somewhere like DFS to buy furniture, does this inspire me to do so? I think not.

Belfast isn't quite overseas and is part of Great Britain. Sometimes you pay more for postage to and from the UK because of the journey...but phone numbers are charged at the same rate to call your next door neighbours.
I take it its a mobile number you've been hassled on? Might just be a typo but it won't be immediately that the phone number is removed from the database.
But put another way, if it does turn up at the door, you can have the satifisfaction of rejecting the order BTW, keep a record and times of all conversations in case it turns a bit sour.

Are you sure that they were legit callers from DFS? I've seen scams like that in real life and online.

Possibly, the calls and texts have stopped since I contacted the store in Belfast last week.
