I got the email about 10 days ago so both Kindles now updated.

And mine.
Amazon are excellent with this. I had emails ....then every time I logged on to Amazon, which is virtually every couple of days, I was reminded till I updated....

Not being a Kindle owner I wasn't aware that warnings had been sent out. This article is only from a day or two ago.

I had two in fact...one was the original one from years ago....now passed on to a family member. The warning given was for that one. My second device is the Kindle Fire. This automatically updated (as soon as it was recharged) Only the earlier versions which are running outdated software need to manually update
(Apologies @Bambino I should have taken time to clarify)

Not a problem @Cleoriff. I have the Kindle app on my tablet, but to be perfectly honest, I don't recall seeing an update recently. I presume this update is for specific devices. I'm sure many people in the forum own Kindles, but maybe don't use them frequently, particularly if they're older versions (the Kindle, not the person), so I thought I'd post the link to make sure anyone who might have one knew about this.

I think it was important to post. It made me double check (March 22nd is only 2 days away) I agree that many people will still have the 1st generation models and they need to update quickly.
In fact, unless @Anonymous has bought a new device recently she will need an update.
I bought mine because I travel a lot and read avidly.....Sadly I still don't use it as I should. I love books, the look, smell and feel of them. I just seem to enjoy them more when they're 'proper books'....(My husband thinks I could open my own library)
