The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

Ironic, then, if UK borders were closed due to COVID-19 - a Brexiteer's dream!

I jest, but travel bans could become the norm until they find out how to treat it or eradicate it.

My eldest and his family are off to Turkey the first week in April and my youngest is coming over to see me at the same time. God knows what it will be like for them. I'm not worried for myself but have a lot of concern for them. All travel may well be banned if countries start closing their borders.

Yes, true. Very worrying for all....

The 700 guests in the hotel in Tenerife are confused at the lockdown. Some are being told to self isolate in their rooms, others are able to sunbathe by the pool wearing masks!

China are now stating they have fewer new cases than the rest of the world. 40 countries are now affected. Austria, Brazil and Switzerland now have patients affected with the disease.

Also the WHO guidelines on how to protect yourself. As I said earlier, the elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions are those who are expected to be affected worse than others.
