The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.
The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.
The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

@Cleoriff wrote:Little continuity re schools is there? Despite it being a lockdown in England, schools and Universities will remain open.
Can't have all those disgruntled students looking for refunds on their 9K tuition fees for the year, @Cleoriff
Schools, well - primary pupils seem to be less likely to be laid low by the bug, but secondary schools...? And as vectors for the virus to get into a closed family "bubble", well... Teachers too all put at risk.
Continuity, or joined-up thinking, does not seem to be apparent, no.

We are living in very sinister times. Patrick Vallance and Chris Whitty are using out of date and manipulated figures to try and scare people, including our absolutely useless PM. It is an absolute disgrace and they should be put in prison for crimes against humaity. Every step of the way their predictions have been false, yet Bozo Boris continues to listen to these idiots. There is a hidden agenda here, and it has absolutely nothing to do with public health. It it were, then why are cancer treatments being cancelled? Cancer affects somewhere between 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 of people and has a VERY VERY high mortality rate, whereas covid has a mortality rate of around 0.1%.
Why oh why does this pathetic government continue to ignore the thousands of scientists and epidemiologists around the world who are calling for a more measured approach with REAL evidence.
Carl Heneghan talks so much sense, I find it staggering that the government continue to try and discredit and ignore him.

Lockdown has started in England.
So far, no affect on grocery shopping at supermarkets in my neck of the woods.
Carer came and took my order and returned with everything and told me he had found no increase in the number of people at Asda, no panic buying, plenty of supplies of toilet rolls and bread, and people abiding by social distancing and mask wearing.

Ooops. Boris has been notified by Serco Test and Trace that he was in contact with someone at a 35-minute meeting on Thursday who has since tested positive for Covid-19.
He's going to be isolating, working from his Downing Street pad for 14 days. I wonder if they'll isolate that other runaway, Cummings?
So much for herd-immunity, too... ITV coverage here: https://rb.gy/ffgyoc

So Boris is self isolating...AGAIN
Possibly hiding from the flak flying around Downing Street and his own MP's

Good grief. Still I suppose he avoids anyone who wants to discuss Brexit and the useless track and trace!!

So what do you do when you only have a skeleton staff to run your acute hospital...?
Like someone pointed out, a Nightingale hospital is no use if there are no care staff to man (person?) it...
