The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.
The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.
The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

@jonsie wrote:He came back from Thailand and Malaysia last Monday. I spoke to him yesterday, there were no checks at Bangkok or Manila airports for outbound passengers nor indeed on arrival at the airport in Berlin. I was quite shocked. As I said before about being couped up in a plane for 7 hours at a time, no facemasks were offered although some passengers were wearing them having bought before they got to the airports in question.
He has no symptons and isn't unduly worried. That's left up to me.
Is he still coming to see you in March @jonsie ?

I see this Coronavirus is already classed as more deadly than the SARS virus of 2003
A total of 813 people globally have already died from 2019-nCoV, compared to 774 killed by SARS.
Both originated from China.
Outside of China, the virus has spread to 24 other countries.

Research is showing that the virus appears to have been started by bats and then transferred to Pangolins which are one of Asia's most trafficked mammals!
They are killed for their meat and scales which are used in Chinese medicine. All of that leads me to believe the old saying 'what goes round, comes round.

This could go way off topic here but I have never understood why, in a country as big as China that they believe all this **** about the medicinal value of animal parts. Rhino and elephant tusks, Tiger skins and meat classed as a delicacy. Pangolins who are harmless when left alone.
I realise China isn't the only country, as animal parts trafficking is rife but even so, if Pangolin have been killed and their scales put into chinese medicine then somehow, justice has been served!!
Just a pity that the virus is becoming global and people are dying due to Chinese ignorance.
Lets face it, this is the country who attacked the doctor who discovered the virus, made him sign a disclaimer to say he was wrong. Then causing his death at 34 because of his dedication to looking after people with the disease which China said never existed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem in China is that there is total government censorship and I believe the virus is far greater and more widespread than they would have us believe.
People believe the myths about eating certain animal parts because they don't know any better. Their total ignorance is to blame for all this. These products sell for large amounts of cash which leads to prolific poaching and smuggling.
