Not such good fortune with Mrs pgn's Moto G4 plus, which decided to go dark display after 2.5yrs of faithful service. All the tips I have tried indicate phone is working, but display is black. So something was going to cost me a couple of hundred today, it seems... And of course, 3 days from now we head off to 'forrin parts for a few days

No cost yet, but inevitably she will be getting a phone ("has to have a good camera!") tomorrow, I don't doubt. 

Holiday, ah yes, a trip to a family gathering for an aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary... weather forecast is almost as grim as here for Fri/Sat, we'll be on our way back most of Sunday.
