Ok guys I'm looking for some help here.

I know there is a budget as we speak so I would be grateful if anyone can post the main points here, particularly in relation to pensions and any new rule changes that will affect my imminent permanent move to Thailand.

Thanking you in trepidation Fear

I didn't....just parts that interested me. If it happens good for them. Pointless going backwards and forwards... We have all seen budget and election promises come to nothing before... hence my justifiable cynicism...Feel free to let me know when this long overdue come-uppance happens. I may wave a flag ..LOL

Non-domicile status ends in April 2017, that can't be bad.

I find it strange and enlightening that no one, big company or  small private enterprise get away with anything over here. Amazon and any other company who wish to trade in this country pay all taxes but being registered offshore in the UK costs the country billions. So many loopholes and the British government has allowed them to get away with it for far too long. Big lawyers and fancy accountants will always exploit and find ways to bypass any ineffectual laws that government in the UK come up with.

will I miss the UK. ..? Resounding no I'm afraid.

Well it's going to be some crackdown and they have five years to show if it is going to work.

I will be keen to see how it pans out.

I'm also happy about the £7.20 - £9.00 national living wage, which has been a long time coming.

Heck, in a couple of years I might even be out of the income tax bracket as well, and tax on savings will disappear???
