Britain`s Got Talent returns to ITV tonight [Sunday 30 August] at 6.30pm with a one-off show - Britain`s Got Talent: The Finalists Revealed, which was pre-recorded [before Simon Cowell`s back injury] and will show the judges reducing 200 acts to 40.
The 40 acts chosen by the judges will join the Golden Buzzer acts:
Sing Along With Us, singing group - David`s Golden Buzzer; Fayth Ifel, 12year old singer - Simon`s Golden Buzzer; Nabil Abdulrashis, comedian; Jon Courtney, comedy singer - Ant & Dec`s Golden Buzzer; and Honey and Sammy, mother and daughter singers - Amanda`s Golden Buzzer
in the semi-finals.
The first of five pre-recorded semi-finals will be screened on ITV next Saturday [5 September], with the judges picking one act to go through to the final, and the public voting for another act once the episode is shown.
The final will be shown live - without Simon Cowell in the hotseat, who will be replaced by Ashley Banjo.

Yes Susan Boyle was on BGT @Anonymous She came 2nd to Diversity.
(which was just as well I think. I doubt she could have taken the limelight so quickly)
She did retire for a while with mental health issues but is fine now)

Just to say before I comment more fully. I was wrong about the voting lol
The judges will choose an act to go through, if there is a tie Amanda (head judge) has the casting vote
The public will phone in to vote.......those people in the background at home are just an audience.
Oh and Diversity were outstanding! Their dance combined elements of life before and after Covid ...linked with Black Lives Matter.

So...
Urban Turtles....just awful. Goes to public vote
James and Dylan. Father and son magic act. Outstanding in my opinion and were in the Judges final 3
Imen Star ..Singer. Pretty average. Goes to the public vote
Yakub, Dancer Excellent. Goes to public vote
James Stott. Dangerous Magic. Public vote
SOS Kids. Great message in their song but lost a lot by being recorded. Public Vote
Fayth... Singer. Good but compared to some other acts, not as good. Judges final 3
Steve Royle Comedian. Very funny. Judges final 3
Overall winner on the night chosen by the judges. Steve Royle
(not my choice, I would have picked the father and son act James and Dylan)
The public vote for the remaining 7 acts closes on Monday.
A great show all in all.
Oh and did I say Diversity were superb? Well, I'll say it again. Blew me away
