The rumor is that Samsung might shake things up a bit, announcing the Note 5 and a newGalaxy S6 Edge+ phone (basically a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge) on August 12

12th? Most say 13th. Have a look at http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2015/08/samsung-galaxy-note-5-specs-release-date-rumours-everything-we-know...
which gives a pretty comprehensive run down of what is expected. 4GB RAM, Samsung processor from the S6, easier to use S-Pen, USB-C is positive. It sure sounds interesting, and if it has the 4100mAh battery suggested, might be worth a punt. The downside is the lack of SD slot, so it depends on having a big enough cheap enough on board memory. Looking at the positive side, from S6 reviews, the onboard RAM is a LOT faster, and means no messing with moving apps to SD to try and save space.
