Depending on your viewpoint, this news will come as a shock to some
Supermarket Asda says it will not take part in the shopping discount day known as Black Friday, which it helped to bring to the UK just two years ago.
I never attended one....but I saw the media reports of the frenzied activity this day caused.
I am quite happy knowing I can go into an Asda store on Black Friday and not be trampled underfoot

Can you shop online during Black Friday? And get the same discounts?
Yes you can...Last year most of the places I use for online shopping sent me emails before their event..
These included Amazon, Argos, PC World....etc etc etc. I shop online for everything...and get a few Christmas presents this way....(including a laptop for my husband last year)

To be honest I hate going to the shops, it's always so crowded!

Totally agree @Anonymous and people who crowd the pavements stopping to chat with others ...prams and pushchairs impeding the way for anyone else
Now that online sales usually kick in just after midnight...you can sit there with fingers poised. Ready to click buy now...
