Amazon Prime signs ex-Top Gear hosts
'New age of TV'
In a statement from Amazon, Clarkson said: "I feel like I've climbed out of a biplane and into a spaceship."
Hammond said: "Amazon? Oh yes. I have already been there. I got bitten by a bullet ant." And May added: "We have become part of the new age of smart TV. Ironic, isn't it?"
Amazon Prime Video EU vice president Jay Marine said: "Customers told us they wanted to see the team back on screen, and we are excited to make that happen.
"We can't wait to see what Jeremy, Richard, James and the team will create in what is sure to be one of the most globally anticipated shows of 2016."

Even before the show was axed I was thinking it was past it's sell by date - very predictable and basically the same rehashed rubbish week after week. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it in it's prime, but I think this format with these presenters has had its day.

Jenson Button rumoured to have signed for Chris Evans' Top Gear show too.
If true I WILL watch that .....I like Chris Evans and Jenson Button
I think they will bring a breath of fresh air to a tired format.....(anything without old big'ed gets a rating in my opinion)

Does that mean Button will be retiring from F1?

I think Evans will do well, I also believe button WILL do this and is possibly in talks already.
With Evans' Carfest festivals he has a lot of motorsport contacts on his phone and is pals with more than a few F1 racing drivers.
I thought it would be him looooong before any announcement, it just fits.
