Following on from the Apple ID scam yesterday.... Action Fraud has published a few more
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/news/latest-scams-to-watch-out-for-apr16
The link allows you to look back at others which may still be doing the rounds...
Some people will be aware of all of them...but if it stops anyone else being defrauded then all good...

A good site freely available but I think much more needs to be done to make the general public more aware. The government think nothing of spending millions of pounds sending political leaflets out which people tend to put in the recycing bin with never a glance. I would like to see the same information sent to every home warning of the potential and very real scams out there.

I have to agree with that. Obviously I have heard of Action Fraud before ...but you do need to seek them out if you want up to date info. I have now signed up for the Action Fraud Alert email

Has anyone here been unfortunate enough to fall victim to one of these in the past?

It must be incredibly frustrating when this happens. I'm lucky enough to have avoided it and after all the horror stories in the news I'm immensely sceptical of any unsolicited contacts from banks or anywhere else I have personal details on file.
