@gemz4the1 wrote:Is the bending issue in both models? I have only seen stories about it happening to the iPhone 6 Plus model up to now.
Mine is as straight as a ruler......for now
The guy who wrote the article in BoB's link wasn't model specific. He just spoke about the iPhone 6 throughout..

The answer to the problem is more a logical solution, add rigidity to the handset by a cover or don't put it into narrow spaces with lots of other things. If it was me, I would be questioining my judgement and selling or returing it.
I don't know much about the Note 3 structural integrity although I have heard nothing personally about them becoming unusable. As a rule Samsungs normally have a flexible part to them whether it be part of the chassis or the battery cover.
My LG G2 without the cover seems pretty thin however without proving it on Youtube I reckon this a pretty solid unit with the back being sealed and the glass with 0.5" of a difference at either side at the front.
Personally I think Apple have really shot theirselves in the foot and will have to really convince some people otherwise the iP6 and iP+ are credible products. Even though this basic common sense for many people, with some they may disregard this because of it's expensive value.
You can buy Bugati or a Ford however both can still be written off in the same manner.

"Apple will replace bent iPhones if it passes ‘Visual Mechanical Inspection’"
"Apple hasn’t issued any official statement on the issue, but an Apple Support employee has indicated that the company will allow customers who accidentally bend their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus units to return them and get a free replacement, according to a report from The Next Web."
More Here
I asked in my local Apple Store today and was told up to press they have not had any returned due to bending ,and would look on any Genius Bar Appointment on an individual basis.

As the guy in the video said himself...a completely unscientific test (though very comical)
So....he stands up and sits down 4 times in a soft chair...then the same amount of time using a hard chair..and then says 'Oh look its not bent'...
Well it amused me anyway...

They put it on a table and if it looks like it rocks, it's bent

All to do with aerodynamics. They launch it and if it comes back to them it's definitely bent...:smileywink:
