Really fascinating piece of archive material. I like the use of the term 'Wideband using co-axial cable'. Amazing how accurate it was.(Particularly with what was to become the smartwatch)

I smiled at a comment made by one reader....(but who knows the truth in that?)

In 50 years time, we will have computers that are thinking machines that can interact with you sensibly. But this was predicted in 1968 - and called HAL 9000 in the 2001 A space odyssey film. It went mad - so I'll predict we will have hospitals, and rehabilitation centres just for disturbed or depressed computers, being looked after by Civil Servant computers with medical caps on so that you can tell which is which......
