Hi,

2 weeks in a row I haven't been able to claim/redeem the Odeon cinema tickets before they go 'out of stock'.

I have tried both the iOS mobile app, iOS browser and desktop based browser to attempt redeeming the offer.

Also logging out, re-installing app hasn't helped.

Error message "Sorry, there was a problem with your request". Same message in app and web browsers.

Odeon only release a very limited number of free tickets so you need to be in quick to get one.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi MI5,

I appreciate that, and attempt to get one from 14:00 and keep trying with the same error message - until they go out of stock.
I note they go 'out of stock' between 14:15 and 14:30.

Trying to rule out if this is an error specific to me, or a generic error - maybe due to load of people attempting to get codes.

Probably because the server is getting hammered by the many others trying too.

I used to get a ticket most weeks.  Have not had one for over four weeks now.  I was on the app just before 2 0'c, in good time.

They were all gone in less than one minute.  Looking on ebay, there are at least 50 for sale, some even have 2 tickets, despite O2's terms stating they cannot be resold.   How are people getting more than 1 ticket instantly?  Perhaps O2 might want to ban the tickets from Ebay or something

Don't forget there are 3.5 million extra people who can now access priority.

I think if tickets are sold on eBay then that needs taking up with the promoter, which in this case is Odeon.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Serry

Some people have more than one o2 phone... I have a work one and a personal one, and my wife has one, and we have VM BB, (and a different network SIM). so in theory we could get 4 tickets, if it wasn't for the fact Odeon are the worst cinema near us.

But one for Odeon, I am afraid, and you are best to contact them as they are the ones who provide the codes to o2, the problem is Odeon don't care as its been raised to them before and ignored...

I've had the same problem since December 2022. Using the Priority App I open the offer at 1400 on the dot to see a message "Sorry the limit has been reached & we're out of stock".
Also tried it using a web browser and at 1400 it responded with message "Error - there was a problem and we've been notified".
No joy either trying to report it via O2 Live Chat - the Team are too busy.
Will give up on O2 and look at Meerkat Movies offers instead!
