I've had one of these supplied to me by Virgin media with an O2 SIM.

My installation with VM

has been delayed by one month so I got this device as a way of getting online in the meantime as my old ISP cut me off at the end of the notice period.

Ive connected the cat 7 to to my TV through an available wireless network.

My phone is dual SIM with one in use, the carrier is Giffgaff.

I can't use my new phone number with O2 yet.

What do I need to do ?  Put

nother O2 SIM in the phone as well as the one in the cat 7 ?

@MickyG52

You can use your O2 phone sim as soon as you receive it.

If it's not arrived yet, call O2.

Looks like you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255
Thanks

There is an 0800 number in the post above @MickyG52 (but to repeat, it's 0800 081 0255)

I'm not sure which part of my reply stipulates that an O2 phone is required?

I have an O2 SIM as I've said, installed in the Alcatel device.

This gives me internet access pending my new ISP service being fitted.

But I can't use my new O2 phone number without also having a SIM in it.

I don't know if there's a solution to this.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, as I said above:

If it's (the sim) not arrived yet, call O2.

Contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255

Or, if you need a new O2 sim, call as above or look on uswitch for a deal on a sim only.
