In the last month, we’ve had two exciting 5G related announcements:

We are live in areas of 75 cities and towns, now including Tynemouth, Weybridge and Lincoln.
The 5G Festival has been given the go-ahead as part of the next wave of government-funded research and development projects.

What is the 5G Festival?

The 5G Festival project will bring together a number of key players from across the music industry, including the O2, to show how 5G will empower the music industry in delivering live festivals and music events to audiences wherever they are.

It will use cutting edge technologies to deliver an immersive platform that will leverage the high bandwidth & ultra-low latency capabilities of 5G. Using the most advanced 5G technologies from Digital Catapult and Telefonica, it will allow audiences and artists to connect seamlessly across venues, delivering new experiences at home as well as major venues including the O2 Arena. For example a music fan in Edinburgh could experience their favourite artist live in LA, collaborating with another artist in London, all without having to leave their front room!

Oasis will never reform. The Gallagher brothers are too stubborn!

Now a Queen concert featuring Freddie Mercury and Adam Lambert would be great. (Although I think they have done that with one concert. Freddie was on screen with Queen Live and it was brilliant)
