I’m going away for 6 months I’m in the army and I was wondering if I can suspend my airtime SIM card bill because I won’t be using my sim while I’m away

Yes you can.

How to request an account suspension

To get your account suspended, you’ll need to give the following details to your/your partner’s CO or Welfare Officer:

  • Your O2 mobile number
  • your name
  • your email address
  • start and end date of deployment
  • your phone’s IMEI (to find this, simply dial *#06# from your O2 mobile).

They’ll then send the information to our dedicated email address - armedforces@o2.com.

Edit to add O2 help page https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-monthly/mod-personnel-suspending-contracts-of-mod-spouses-and-families...

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
