Horrendous charge for 1 call

Needed to call travel company to sort abroard holiday refund next week. Was on hold for 50mins before giving up. Didnt realised this was America, i've been charged £125 for this one call. This i cant afford. Took a drop in hours due to Covid. This number was on their website as Customer Services dept, no fee next to it or country. I could cry.

Did you travel to the US, make a call to the US, or used Zoom which re-routes via the US?

Call O2 and explain the situation and they may make a goodwill gesture

It depends on who you get through to but a good adviser may be sympathetic
