hi has anybody had any problems with repairs when they get sent of from 02 shop.
i took my 11 month old iphone to shop for repair a week ago
telling the store that my volume and power button had come of (silver bits)
on them examining my phone they gave me receipt saying , phone under warrenty and in good condition.
my problem is today i recieved call from them saying that my phone will cost £130 for repair as casing is cracked, and internal water damage ???? 😮
i hit the roof and asked how my phone has now got a crack and water damage after just being put in for repair for buttons .
has anyone got the numbers for area manager for south west area or has any one had any problems with repairs before

im waiting for call from area manager , and have since spoke again to store manager ,
we had a good conversation about report and findings from watchdog programme.
just cause the tab had turn red on charger point , and no others ie jack plug ,
or the ones inside phone.this proving that the phone could not have been water damaged as put in report.
watchdog done a test with 15 people in the street with iphones,3 out of 15 phones indicator had shown water damage . even thou no one was aware of of their phones being in contact with water, strange !!!!!

It would seem they're too sensitive, but the point is will the repairers look at it?

just had a phone call from store,
now my £139 qoute has been reduced to nill.

i got to wait longer now for phone but its a result.

There was an article on macrumors about the changing of policy re water indicators for ipods perhaps this is the reason.
