I just tried to access a website with adult content and i got the message that i can't less i verify my age. I thought in order to get a contract from 02 you need to be over 18 anyways. This is so sad that i have to phone o2 to get permission from o2 to access websites i want even so, they know im over 18 ( i dont have a credit card ). VERY , VERY STUPID !!!

This is a requirement of all UK operators now, as Liquid said ring O2 and I'm sure they will sort it out for you.
It's not stupid as many adults give contract phones to children now.

There is plenty "free" websites if you want that sort of thing. Although alcohol or other related websites get blocked even if you are over 18. O2 don't know so they need to confirm and unfortunately using credit based verification seems to be the tried and tested method.
