hi all
i was wondering if anyone else feels the same as i do... that o2 are rapidly loosing touch with what essentially is the grounds of their business its customers.
i have now on three occasions spoke to different members off o2 staff and all 2 occasions i have been left wanting.. one occasion was via the web chat they actually seem to understand what its like to be a customer.. rather than the people they have working the call centers they are not only uneducated but ill mannered and lacking empathy and common sense.
its not hard to understand a basic request of i wish to upgrade but i also wish you to reward me for my services and loyalty... well our current tariffs are x y z... yes but these are available to anyone... do i get a loyalty bonus... no. so is there an incentive to stay with o2... no.
i just hope that this read by someone in o2 who a can read, and b can rectify the downward spiral o2 are on.
if their customer care continues like this the vast empire of o2 with cease and like rats on sinking ship customers will desert you

It's been well documented on here that there is no such thing as loyalty rewards now. O2 have gone with the fair deal for all where all customers old and new are offered the same deal.
Best option is to find a deal you are happy with, whether an independent retailer or another network. Just be sure you get good coverage should you opt for another network.

Hi cr41g and Welcome to the forum,
Personally I've always gone with the option to visit the high-street shops as Jonsie suggests, as by doing this you A, get the contract you are happy, with and no confusion, B, walk out with the handset of choice, C, Possibly freebie accessories after haggling.

Sometimes you just have to accept the answer is no.
It's just too easy from behind a user name to speak about people like that.
