I am planning on popping into my local O2 store, I have a couple to chose from so hopefully I will be ok.

I will be looking to pay the early upgrade fee and then also use an O2 open code with my new contract so hopefully all that will go smoothly in store.

as long as you bring proof of your employment and the open code with you, it shouldn't be a problem slight_smile

hi another quick question

I'm going to buy the iphone 4 on contract. I have never had a contract before.

So I will have to pay the handset price on 24th June but when do i pay my first month bill? Will i have to pay that on the day too?

I would like to know that also, what will happen with the price of the handset being due? I'd like to put the handset cost on my credit card but obviously my current handset comes off my debit card/current account. Is that possible? I thought that we would have to go through the night to queue but it seems that alot of people are just going in time for it opening. Any thoughts?

I should imagine because they are only allowing the phones to be purchased from retail outlets, then credit or debit cards will be the ONLY way to pay for the price of the handsets regardless of the plan you are taking out. Dont know whether that is also the case for the 'paying yourself out of contract' charge that some people may have to incur.

in my case when I upgraded to an iphone 3G, the extra £50 was added to the bill. This time around I will be paying by card for the £89 charge

Can anyone talk me through the IPHONE4 upgrade offer process?

I need to pay £20 for every month I left of my contract which equals £160. Do I do this before I go to to the shop on Thursday to buy my Iphone?

Or do I do it all at the shop?

How can I keep my phone number? Do I phone up and ask for my PAC code and take it to the shop on Thursday?

I'm planning on getting to the Windsor store - hopefully by 7:30, although it depends on how the football on Wednesday goes (not got much hope there). A couple of other points (slightly OT):

- I spoke to O2 customer service today who told me that I should be able to upgrade to the iPhone 4 over the phone on Thursday morning and it should be delivered by Saturday. Very confused and unconvinced by this.

- For those of you who are thinking of getting the 900 minute contract and paying £89 for the phone, it's cheaper to sign up for the 1200 minute contract and pay £29 for the phone. After 9 months, you can downgrade to the 900 minute contract. The cost of being on the higher contract for 9 months is £45 (9x £5). Add that to the £29 and you're only paying £74 for the phone saving £15 and having to pay an additional £60 up front!
